“Devotion To The First Artist” by Mikhail Selishchev
The “Khors” Enamel Art Gallery was opened in Rostov the Great in 1995 on the base of the “Khors” House of Art by Mikhail Selishchev. It is the only gallery in Russia where enamel art exhibitions take place regularly.

The principle idea of the gallery is free creative activities and fraternity of enamel artists from all over the world to study and develop traditions, to exchange experience and information. We have no boarders, no age or national limits. We invite everybody to cooperate in the name of creative work. That is an ancient Russian town Rostov the Great, the motherland of Russian enamel art and a modern Russian enamel art center, that became the place where enamel artists from all over the world have the opportunity to show their works. The gallery cooperates with the State Museum “Rostov Kremlin” that has the richest collections of Russian enamels. The “Khors” House of Art is situated on the shore of Nero lake in Rostov the Great. The “Khors” Enamel Art Galery regularly organizes personal exhibitions of enamel artists from all over the world. International Symposiums on Enamel Art take place here annually since 1997. Enamelists worldwide exchange their professional experience and get acquainted with cultural heritage of Rostov the Great during them. Master Classes. Since 2003 “Khors” sponsors international seminars and workshops. These events are part of program Wheels of Muses, which wishes to further the contemporary art within the inspiration atmosphere of Rostov. The Summer Enameling Workshop divided its time between introductory lectures to enameling techniques and hands-on-experimentation. We invite enamel artists and galleries to cooperate. We are ready to consider your offers and proposals in organizing exhibitions, symposiums, seminars, etc. in the “Khors” Enamel Art Gallery in Rostov the Great. Welcome to the Khors Guesthouse.
